Grow Youthful: How to Slow Your Aging and Enjoy Extraordinary Health

Ailment: Psoriasis

Remedy: Lemon juice

Lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, sour whey, Swedish bitters and kombucha are all invaluable aids to improving digestion. Try each of them to find which works best for you.

Mix a teaspoon, or a few teaspoons of fresh lemon (or lime) juice in a glass of water, and drink it 20 minutes before a meal, or at any time. It helps with the digestion of food (good to take before a meal) and a wide range of digestive problems, and contributes to general health and longevity.

You can also use lemon juice and ACV on your skin. The acidity is beneficial, promoting acidic bacteria and inhibiting fungi. The acidity also inhibits demodex mites living in hair follicles and oil glands. Almost every adult has these mites, but in some people their population gets out of control, or their skin reacts to the mites.

Apply undiluted ACV or lemon juice directly on the skin for skin fungus, psoriasis and other skin conditions.

Ill let you know if it stays this way, but so far, so good. Side effect, Weight loss... Ive lost a bit of weight, but thats mostly because the lemonjuice makes me skip breakfast, as im not hungry. I need to combat this because im skinny enough as is.

My father (Age 60) has Psoriasis problem. It has started to bleed now. After reading the remedies at this page I advised him to try Lemon and ACV. Have tried it for 2 days only. Will update the progress in coming days. Is there anything else that he can try?

After years of a red wine, red meat, potatoes, sugar, coffee and high sodium lifestyle my psoriasis was thriving. Thick patches on my knees and elbows and smaller ones scattered throughout my body. Over the years I tried various treatments from holistic to pharmaceutical. Lotions, ointments, steroids, tonics, tantra and extract. All were temporary moments of relief at best. Over the years of living with and studying about the condition, I slowly came to the grudging realization my lifestyle had to change and my psoriasis needed to be attacked from the inside out. I've gone on a highly alkaline diet (that means zero of the above mentioned items) and have taken up the habit of drinking lemon juice throughout the day. Up to six lemons a day. My psoriasis has gone from thick highly noticeable blotches to thin, almost silky patches. Although far from cured, this is the most comfortable I've ever been with this condition. side note: I also lost twenty five pounds. I'm a man 48 yrs old. I hope this helps you. Don

I just read the comments here, my fiance has psoriasis, diagnosed about 2 months back. He has too much itching and itching worsens the condition. I am a doctor and feel hampered by my knowledge,as it tells me psoriasis has no cure, but I believe in natural remedies, and I will tell him about the formula written by richard, and In sha Allah I will post regarding whether it helped or not.

Trying the lemon thing on my psoriasis and so far so good! I've been doing it about a week and my skin is smooth. Though, I'll keep persisting - I want to see if it's maybe not smoothness brought on by a cream I was previously using...will check in later :)

I previously assumed psoriasis worsens with savory foods like lime, lemon, tamarind, yeast, hops, brews etc. I am looking forward to reading feedback from the above contributors on their experience with lemon juice. Please put more feedback on this soonest.

I am suffering from psoriasis. The symptoms started 3 years ago, all the skin when exposed to sun or heat started getting red and itchy. Now at the advance stage it started bleeding and was in a worst condition. I applied Lemon directly on the affected area. Today is the 3rd day I have been using LEMON juice and then the plain SALT on the wounds. It's at a better stage has reduced up to 70% in just 3 days. Hope lemon and salt helps me getting it off of my skin. Will comment back if it gets clear.... Thanks.

I suffered from psoriasis for more than 20 years and was told by a doctor that it could not be cured. He prescribed a cream to help with the symptoms, but it didn't do much. Winter was always terrible for me. I read about apple cider vinegar and decided to try my own mixture. Twice a day (between meals) I took a glass of tepid water with a tablespoon of ACV, the juice of half a lemon, a quarter teaspoon of cayenne pepper, and a teaspoon of raw honey. The pepper gives it a real kick! After a month my skin was smooth and my psoriasis was completely gone. Oh I also lost weight. Thanks for the inspiration.
