NO
I have a suspicion that taking digestive enzymes as a powder, rather than capsules, can cause problems in the oesophagus. The protease in the powder may react with the surface of the oesophagus, causing inflammation and possibly contributing to the globus pharyngeus. Yes, it is correct to say that digestive enzymes really do help with digestion, and reduce acid reflux and indigestion. But my feeling is that you need to get them into the stomach via a capsule, rather than taking them as a powder where they actually start to digest the lining of the throat and oesophagus on the way down. Is anyone with globus pharyngeus or throat problems taking these enzymes? If you stop taking digestive enzymes (particularly protease, or lymphatic enzymes (such as Lymphatic N-Zymes powder) PLEASE PLEASE leave a comment here at growyouthful.com after a couple of weeks or months - this could be a cause of globus pharyngeus
