Depending on the cause of the dermatitis, it may go red when you put apple cider vinegar on it. If the cause is nano-insects or mites, it can turn into a red rash, that will gradually recede and may even turn into a scab over the next few days before completely healing. It won't always do this - sometimes it will just recede and heal. If you are concerned about having a rash for a few days, test the ACV on a small area of skin first. Usually there will NOT be a rash, but if there is, you can plan ahead as to when to use this cure. Remember to keep using the ACV until it is completely healed - don't stop too soon.

Apple cider vinegar cured my perioral dermatitis. I self-diagnosed online after seeing it around my nose and mouth for the first time two months ago. I tried a few different things – stopping all soaps and lotions, and using a yogurt mask when I read the rash may be caused by a yeast overgrowth. The yogurt helped a little but didn't cure it. After reading about apple cider vinegar I decided to try it. I bought a small bottle of unpasteurised organic ACV at the grocery store. I wet a cotton bud and dab it around my mouth twice a day after washing my face - in the morning and at night before I go to sleep. It stings and the rash goes red for a while, but after a few days I definitely noticed a difference. It's been about a week and you can hardly notice the rash now. I'm going to continue for at least another week to be sure the rash has gone completely. It has dried my skin and a few small flakes are coming off, so I have started to use a very little coconut oil during the day, which seems to have gotten it almost back to normal. I would definitely recommend this cure, it's inexpensive, easy, and you'll see results within days.
