A few years ago I was looking for natural alternatives to lower my cholesterol. My doctor had tried me on Lipitor, Rosuvastatin and Lescol but my cholesterol was still sky high and my liver was (and still is) suffering from the Lescol. The meds were causing the start of gout, and a kind of pins and needles in my muscles. I started on apple cider vinegar three times per day, one teaspoon in a glass of water, which I increased to two teaspoons after the first couple of weeks. When I went back for a regular blood test after a little over a month on ACV, my total cholesterol was down and triglycerides down by a quarter. The next test my doctor couldn’t believe it – I was virtually normal. The muscular and joint problems have gone now that I’m off the pills. ACV works!! PS I have improved my diet, and have been getting a lot more exercise since I started to feel so much better, so all these things help each other too.
