YES
I am 52 and recently I very successfully tried out the remedy for coughing that a friend has used for years on her 7 year old. You crush two cloves of garlic and spread each on half of a piece of kitchen paper or cloth, then fold the other half of the cloth over. Put one garlic pad on the sole of each foot then put a firm sock on, or wrap Glad Wrap around the pad to keep it in place before putting the sock on. You need one or two layers of material between the garlic and skin or it can 'burn' the skin. As for stoppping the coughing, well it was miraculous. I suffer from a tickling cough that I've had all my life when I get a cold or flu, and nothing has ever stopped it...till the garlic. Night after night! Magic stuff. It also helped my lungs fight the infection so I did not get as sick as I usually do when I get this kind of ailment.

Take half a fresh clove of garlic and crush it. Put it at the back of your tongue and wash it down with a little water or food. If you chew it your breath will smell. Garlic breath is also caused by poor saliva flow in the mouth, and not drinking enough water. This daily dose of garlic boosts your immune system, and helps prevent / recover from infections, especially viral infections like colds
