YES
I used to wake up in the middle of the night with something like restless leg syndrome. It felt like a small adrenalin rush, my muscles needing to move even though I just wanted to go back to sleep. Sometimes I would get out of bed and do a few push ups or squats, other times I would just roll around a bit and after ten or fifteen minutes would manage to go back to sleep. I knew that this kind of night time sugar rush can occur if I eat dried fruit, especially raisins, during the afternoon or evening. But it was starting to occur even when I was careful not to eat carbs or sugar foods in the evening or even during the afternoon. After carefully recording what I had been eating or drinking since these night time adrenalin rushes started, rooibos tea turned out to be the culprit. When I stopped drinking rooibos tea, I was able to sleep undisturbed throughout the night again.
