For burns, apply a 50-70% solution of DMSO to the skin over the painful area. You can do this once or twice a day, depending on the severity and your situation.
For nail fungus, use DMSO as a carrier to help the treatment being used to penetrate the nail.
It is important that you do not have any creams, oils, chemicals or anything else on your skin. If you do, wash and dry first. Wet a small cotton ball with the DMSO, and gently rub it onto the clean skin. Or just put a few drops on your hand and rub it into the skin. For more rapid absorption, gently rub or massage the area. But be careful not to rub too much or too hard as it can irritate the skin. If you use your fingers, which I do, you don't even have to wash it off - just rub it into your hands. It helps them and aids the tissues and joints, so why waste it?
Don't contaminate the bottle. Always pour some solution into a small glass, cup, or other container, and apply from this container. Only pour out as much as you need to use, and keep it clean.
Warning. First test the DMSO solution on a small area, in case you are extra sensitive. Within a few minutes you will notice the DMSO being absorbed into the skin. If you put it on too often, rub too hard, or use it on a tender, thin-skinned area, it may cause itching, stinging or redness. This usually goes away within half an hour. If you need relief, wash it off with water, and apply a good skin cream or raw honey.

After the burn is cooled, gently rub on or spray 70 - 90% concentration DMSO. It will reduce the pain, speed the healing and help prevent scarring.
