I use exercises from 'The McKenzie Method' for my back pain and I experience them to be very helpful. These exercises also help me to increase my independence by being able to handle and get rid of the pain as it arises and preventing it to escalate. But most of all a Rawfood diet helps me to heal the cause of my back pain by deacidification of my body in combination with vitamin D3/K2 (high dose once a day - 5,000 IE) and Kolorex/Horopito to get rid of a Candida infection.

Ten years ago I had back pain. I started exercising every day, mostly a long walk. If you have a back problem, daily low-impact exercise for at least half an hour is highly beneficial. Walking is the best exercise if you are able to do it. Swimming or any other exercise if walking is too painful. Keep it gentle and don't overdo it. Today I have no back pain, though I still have to be careful about picking up heavy objects.

Usually I have a strong back and no pain whatsoever. However, last month I had back pain in the lower back for a few days. A friend told me to do the following exercise a couple of times each day, especially after waking up in the morning. Sit on your bed and lean forwards. Lean as far forwards as you can, so your chest is touching your knees if you can do that. Relax, breathe deeply, and stay in that position for a minute. After doing it just once, my back felt a bit better. After doing it a few more times during the day my back was only slightly sore. A few days later it was 100% OK.
